Haha Fred is back, and he's gained like 7kg. Which is pretty healthy but I like to annoy him by suggesting a name change to fat sai. Lol!

Okay they are gonna release an assignment later that has to be completed by today. I hope I don't forget to do it, cos I'm overwhelmed with the prospects of seeing fluffy later that everything else is secondary.

Racism?

Not saying that racism is not a cause for concern, but sometimes we tend to give it too much attention to the extent that it's rather subjective definition blurs the main picture we should be looking at.

I for one, am against racism. But I'm even more against the destruction of a youngster's future over silly comments made within the confinements of a personal tweet space. It's already difficult to make your mark in Singapore, and having the stigma of being a racist to your name certainly amplifies that.

And since I'm doing a module on India, which is really a fascinating country that I hope to visit one day- Mumbai and Hyderabad specifically. I thought I might just wanna chip in my 2 cents worth on this. Let's face it, racism will always exist, even in the intricate system of a long existing caste system. Look at the differences between the Brahmans and the untouchables (not because they are invincible, but because literally nobody wants to touch them). The caste system is divided into 5 levels, within each level exists 100s or 1000s of different groups. It doesn't require a well read/educated person to get my point. You want to abolish racism? You have to start it from your roots. Abolish the caste system then. Hang on a minute, it's supposedly abolished officially :)

And I just got corrected by my lecturer, the untouchables are not even considered as part of the caste system. Yeap. Quit the comparisons, hating, anger and yea we might just successfully reduce the extent of racism- mainstream or underground

Barely soldiering on

When fluffy dug up my old tweets and hauled me in for questioning, unexpectedly it brought up an old school tune to my head which I'm hittin on replay now as I drag my unwilling feet to school. aren't we allowed to make mistakes in life? i've had blunders after blunders after blunders but i think im still turning out fine. hate it when my past, attempts to play catch up, if my reputation precedes me as a don juan, so be it. can't help it if ever in a certain point of time in your life, i've fallen for anyone or vice versa. its the notion of reciprocation, it takes two hands to clap for every issue out there. can't help it if i ever were an eager beaver filled with love, out there in this world, so desperate to love and be loved in return. for me, it was completely possible to fall in love and out of it easily, given seconds, minutes, hours, days and that i could never be on my own. (but i've tried and well its about partitioning my school and social life)

And so that translates into an impromptu lunch buffet at holiday inn, windows on the park, with fluffy. Its at kramat lane, just got to walk along alleybar that area to get there eventually.

Okay finally. er but without pictures cos we always forget to take them. anyways damage was about $68+- for both of us, kudos to a promotion for major credit cards. 1 for 1 deal. not sure about the dinner though.

The selection of food was quite limited, say around 10-15 odd dishes to choose from. But thankfully the taste wasnt as bad as what some people put on hungrygowhere. i suppose their lunch offerings are different daily but basically what i had was like ... (supposed international buffet but it felt more like asian delights or something)

They had sushi but yea i'm rather skeptical of buffet sushi-s so i gave it a miss.

4) Winter melon soup (yummy which i had like 5-6 servings)

5) This crusted thingy where you stuff like popiah filling into with eggs, grounded peanuts, etc

The salad bar was like shit though.

I was really quite hungry, so the food tasted pretty good. wrapped it up with the usual fondue and ice cream combi and i walked out a happy boy. The service was erratic, and inconsistent. Occasionally the staff will clear your plates but there was an instance when i managed to stack it up to like 4 plates they still did not clear it until i prompted them.

Verdict: Go for it only when there's the 1 for 1 promotion if you wanna grab lunch there. Ambience was only so-so.

can't stand asians who are so into portraying themselves as very americanized. come on, embrace your race and culture. that might make you a much easier person to get along with, directed in particular to a certain _______.

i couldn't bring myself to post anything the past few days because i'm really struggling with full body cramps, walking around like a bai kar (hokkien dialect for handicap) in school. i'm struggling with assignments and thats really killing me. weekends are my only source of solace now, when i'm able to free up some time to spend with fluff, friends, and some time of my own when i solo in the shop.

i'm feeling so much healthier. though the otherwise relaxing game was rather marred by rude pinoys(who act as if they own the whole court, and tmd they played like shite), i managed to cut quite alot of calories by just running around with the ball.

those were the days, i could run up and down a basketball court effortlessly. those days are gone. long gone actually. stamina to gyrate at clubs does not equate to real stamina for sports. but okay, my whole body is aching now which is a good sign i suppose. i can still play pretty okay but its nowhere near my secondary school trolling standards. the half court shots and rubbish. my lungs like want to burst when i attempted a simple lay up (cutting across opponents while at it of course)

what a joke. but lets see if i can keep this up and if all those scientific studies should have any truth in them, my attention span and energy should improve. which is what i need for this final burst to the semestral exams.

some korean restaurant at Jurong Point Lv 2, just next to Pepper Lunch. Damage was about $11 plus and i really wanted to eat pepperlunch but the queue was horrendous so yea hoped into this seemingly korean restaurant with a korean signboard

it was a let down and by no means, korean. Dr Rahil advocates questioning the source and everything else before leaping into taking a stand, making a choice and well that mantra is so damn true here. Because of this restaurant, in future whichever 'specialty' cuisine place i step into, i will make it a point to 1) Checkout the staffing (i have absolutely no problem with pinoys serving me, great service in fact) 2) Try to peep into the kitchen (cos the head chef of this place appeared to be some random malay dude ( this is superficial but hey, i'm sure i'll enjoy nasi lemak prepared by a malay chef over a korean chef any day)

Although its not that expensive, but do factor in the fact that i was so HUNGRY, the food tasted like shit, when everythings supposed to be tasty when youre hungry. Its like giving a man who's expecting to drink sprite, a glass of cold water instead. okay enough about that.

i'm not into taking like you know, random shots of strangers. but this guy(one in the middle) really made me want to KILL him. not taking him out of context, this chinese man actually said aloud: "I didn't get an opportunity to serve NS"(in mandarin), and with that kind of voice and a smug look. that statement's fine actually but its the tone and the smug look. and yes, in case you were wondering, he's a foreign-trash.

I'm not entirely complaining about foreign talent because I do know many of them who 1)employ locals, 2)"help" the economy grow, 3) Dress well, 4) Very chin-chai and not too bothered or fussy about things, 5) Are well-mannered. But these friends are a minority of the foreign-imports. Its this kind of FT-s that we want and need. I wonder how stringent is the immigration dept.

By the way liverpool and everton match is on-going, first half @ 27 mins currently 0-0 which is good because i placed my money on Total goals - 0 there pay out is 1:8 ha ha ha.

retail therapy

okay before everyone gets excited and think i struck the big sweep or something, this receipt belongs to one of my friends who works for SPH, urban paper(da weekly fashion paper), Rohai if you know him. I spent like 1/10 of that and i wanna peng* already.

anyways i finally did some much needed shopping, my wardrobe's getting too plain you see. the best time to shop is really in the morning. so after sending fluffy off to sch, i headed to H&M and got myself a couple of tees, shirt boxers and socks, basically essentials. but the tee is so awesome, the shirt is so gay (pics will be up soon), and damage was ... ... ... okay la, H&M stuff is starting to look betterrr and although many (like me) always kaopeh* that it is so mainstream and mass-market, but when i shop i just become genre-blind, with my value-4-$ goggles on and just pick what looks good on me. (pretty hard to find something that doesnt, if i might add) hur hur! BUT let me clarify, not trying to say anything but i wont be caught dead in 77th street stuff, NO FEAR, Ed Hardy, yea you know that kind cos it doesn't suit me. (contradicting whatever i said earlier about looking good in almost everything)

besides, its really not hard to find nice stuff @ H&M and they got basics too, so i was like picking things up and when it came to the bill, i was like @@!!! (lucky i dont drink so much anymore, $ put to better use)


then i decided to go over to pescado's, which is the shop next to fred's to look at their stuff. i gota pair of shoes there and finally, finally finally, the chain-like thingy for my keys (after spoiling the a-x and g-star one) damage was ...

i decided against getting the brown blazer @ fred's because, i really have too many blazers and jackets that i dont even wear. there's this g2000 faux leather one that i havnt even worn, impulse buy cos it was so cheap, like a 2 years ago.


i like to change my style every once a while lest my gf finds me boring. and the thought of that deals me a severe mental blow. like come on, anyone of you readers ever been through the situation when your partner wants you to tone down your lifestyle, but months later end up complaining that youre too monotonous and readable? Happens to my friends all the time though, lifestyle, fashion, etc. life is rather simple for me now(its like how many times i must say right?), but if there's one thing you should know, fluffy I'm full of surprises =) en mutation continuelle

i finally tried the 'kiss of death', some cocktail that adrian and jon were always raving about and i have to say its not bad. i woke up really blur, but you have to consider the influence of the other types of alcohol.
